Red Bull Salzburg enter race for Dayot Upamecano
According to our colleagues at Espoirs du Foot, Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg have had an offer accepted for Valenciennes’ French youth international Dayot Upamecano.
The player was interesting Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United, and is believed to have reached an agreement with the latter regarding personal terms, but the Red Devils have had bitter disagreements with VAFC over a fee agreement. The Citizens have also bid, but have not had an offer accepted. The player still prefers a move to England, but Gerard Houllier has in the last days attempted to entice him to Austria. More undoubtedly to follow.

Hier ein aktueller Artikel, der Junge ist mit 16 bereits 1,90 sollte er in Frankreich bleiben wird er dort wohl dieses Jahr bei den Profis debütieren:

Les enchères montent pour Upamecano
Selon un quotidien Anglais, les offres grimpent pour Dayot Upamecano.
Après Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, l'Olympique de Marseille puis la Juventus, c'est au tour de Red Bull Salzbourg d'entrer en course pour l’international français des moins de 17 ans.
Sans connaître l'offre proposée par le club Autrichien, VA demande maintenant € 2,5 millions pour leur jeune star.
Cependant le joueur a fait savoir sa préférence pour l'Angleterre et plus particulièrement pour les Red Devils malgré le désaccord entre les dirigeants anglais et le VAFC sur le montant du transfert.
Ce qui laisse Eddy Zdziech, le président VA, dans une position difficile.
Avec moins d'un an à courir du contrat de Upamecano, il sait qu'il doit vendre maintenant avant de voir la valeur marchande de son joueur s'écrouler.

00:08 UHR 09.07. Red Bull dürfte kurz vor der Verpflichtung des 16-jährigen Dayot Upamecano stehen. Der Innenverteidiger ist französischer U-17-Teamspieler, stammt aus dem Nachwuchs des FC Valenciennes und soll wohl zunächst beim FC Liefering Spielpraxis sammeln.

Also wenn immer solche Talente nachkommen braucht sich wirklich keiner beschweren, wenn unsere besten Spieler zu RBL gehen. Denn wenn sie nicht dahin gehen würden würden sie eben zu anderen Vereinen Wechseln.

Jetzt wären dann auch genug Franzosen oder französisch sparachige Leute im Verein (trotz Brunos Abgang) da um die Eingewöhnung zu erleichtern.
